Our services The company Walter Pfäffli AG offers you various services in the field of electrical installations. Selling and installing switches, sockets or lights (incl. LED) are part of our daily work. We also offer services around electrical heating, such as towel radiators, infrared heaters and temperature control mats.

We can also offer you a wide range of activities in the field of weak current. We can advise, sell and install telephone and TV installations as well as EDP installations and sonnerie systems. By means of alarm systems we also take care of your security.

Wishes in the area of multimedia are realized by us with pleasure. Networks, including fiber optic cables, can also be offered.

Of course, you can also buy all electrical appliances from us. From household to TV sets we offer a wide range.

Electrical installations We design and / or install all electrical installations in new buildings, conversions or in service orders:

• Lighting installations conventionally with individual switching or contactless by means of motion detectors.
• Lighting controls with bus system (EIB, KNX, Tebis, DALI) for indoor and outdoor lighting.
• Shock lighting (also with LED) as a deterrent against burglary.
• Stor controls with or without remote control, wind monitors and sun sensors.
• Apartment meter changeovers (WZU) for washing machines in apartment buildings.
• Ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Automatic gate controls for garages and entrance doors.
• Extensions and replacements of switches and sockets.

Lighting - LED

• The company Pfäffli AG cares about energy efficiency. Therefore we use more and more LED (light emitting diodes) in the form of whole light fixtures or in the form of illuminants.
• In the meantime, a large part of the lighting can be converted to LED's, a saving in electricity consumption of at least 50% can be easily achieved. Also the costs for the maintenance can be reduced, because the burning time of the LED lights is approx. 15 - 20 times longer. 2'500h of a halogen lamp are compared to 35'000 - 50'000h of LED's.
• The initially cold, rather bluish light of the LED's (4000 - 6000 Kelvin) is probably still available, but the range of light colors has increased massively. In the meantime, the color temperature of the diodes has reached the level of halogen lights (2700 - 3200). Thus, nothing stands in the way of the introduction of this technology also for lighting in living rooms.
• Of course, all other lights and illuminants can be ordered from us, whether in the field of outdoor lighting, residential lighting or office lighting.
• In our showcase in Zurich are various LED - lights on display. We will be happy to advise you and provide you with sample lights.
• The LED cost calculator shows you directly the comparison of LED - illuminants to halogen - illuminants. So you can check the efficiency of your lighting. Have fun trying it out!

Heaters

• We offer various heating systems.
• Floor heating or tempering mats increase the comfort in residential properties considerably without consuming much energy. By means of a timer the floor is only tempered when you really need it. Thus, there is no unnecessary waste of energy.
• Gutter heaters ensure the trouble-free operation of your property. By means of temperature and humidity regulation, the function of the gutter is efficiently ensured.
• We are also happy to connect your heat pump, gas or oil heating system.
• Visually very attractive, available in various designs and very effective are the new infrared heaters. These heaters can be installed anywhere, either specifically as a design element or almost invisible. Surfaces made of glass, plastic or stone are available.
• We offer different sizes and performances. We are happy to advise you.

Door intercom and video systems

• Classical intercom systems as well as video intercoms are part of our offer. Various surface-mounted and flush-mounted models are available from us, and integration into a letterbox combination is also possible.
• Modern, specially equipped radio telephones form the connection between telephony and door intercom. You can see on the display of the radio telephone who is standing in front of the door and you can open it by pressing a button.
• This means that nothing stands in the way of networking door intercoms and video systems.

**Alarm systems

• Pfäffli AG offers you various levels of security. Various possibilities of alarm systems are available.
• Whether a subsequent installation of an alarm system by means of radio motion detectors, radio glass break detectors and radio window contacts or a fixed wiring, there are many ways to easily secure your home.
• Alarm systems for higher demands incl. emergency buttons, safe guards and so-called "silent alarms" for informing the police can be discussed, advised and purchased with us.
• Contactless via chip tag, modern via finger scanner (biometrics) or classic via code keypad.

Multimedia We are happy to create and sell you various multimedia installations of the latest technologies, e.g. for:

phone As a Swisscom partner, Pfäffli AG provides complete telephone connections, from the registration of the line to the programming of the telephone set. Desk telephones as well as radio telephones, including the low-radiation Eco-plus mode, are offered in a wide range.

Extensions from analog (economy-line) to ISDN or conversions from ISDN to analog are carried out regularly.

Professional subscriber switching systems (TVA) up to 400 subscribers can be projected and installed by us. Individual solutions with showcall on the computer and connections to Voice-over-IP (VoIP) are offered to you with pleasure.

**TV Pfäffli AG installs satellite systems and conventional cable systems. Apartment buildings and single-family homes can be equipped equally, so nothing stands in the way of optimal TV enjoyment. Measurements incl. creation of the schemes guarantee you an excellent quality.

**Internet We provide you with the connection to the Internet, be it via the telephone or TV network. You can apply directly to us for an Internet connection, if you are connected to the network of Swisscom or Cablecom we can apply directly, in the fastest way.

We can also supply you with terminal equipment such as routers or switches. We offer a wide range of devices.

We also always stay up to date. We are looking forward to the so called cloud computing. Finally, it will be possible to use programs directly on your computer without having to install them. Open the Internet browser, consume the program. The future can look so simple!

Fiber optics for network Installations of fiber optic cables, so-called optical fibers, is an area that is increasingly in demand. Faster Internet connections demand more and more from the previous copper lines.

The fiber optic cables, as the name suggests, work with light. This means that we also talk about the speed of light. Of course, it is clear that light is faster than electrical signals over a copper line.

At the same time, the fiber optic cable is insensitive to electric and magnetic fields. Only the good installation should be considered, which is a matter of course for us.

By means of fine fibers, a network with gigabit speed can be realized without any problems. Since providers also install the supply lines right into the house, so-called FTTH (Fiber To The Home) installations can now also be created.
