Electrosuisse Control AG is an accredited test center of Electrosuisse, with many years of control experience in low-voltage installations, comprehensive and up-to-date expertise. Constant networking of the technical staff with industry experts and the parent company Electrosuisse ensures comprehensive processing of any testing, consulting, inspection work and regular knowledge transfer.

Services

As an independent inspection body, Electrosuisse Control AG carries out safety inspections on behalf of the owner for the protection of persons and property and provides the following services in compliance with the Low Voltage Installation Ordinance (NIV Art 36), Low Voltage Installation Standard (NIN) and European Standard (EN).

Accredited inspections

Electrical installations subject to inspection by an accredited inspection body are installations with an increased hazard potential or with increased technical requirements. These are:

• Electrical installations in medically used rooms of category 3 and 4.
• Electrical installations in explosion protection zones 0 and 20 as well as 1 and 21
• Electrical installations on national roads of 1st and 2nd class
• Electrical installations in civil defense buildings
• electrical installations on ships for commercial transport of persons or goods
• Electrical installations in classified underground military ammunition and tank facilities
• Electrical installations of tank facilities
• electrical installations in rooms where explosives or pyrotechnic products are manufactured, processed or stored
• Electrical installations in mines
• Electrical installations carried out by company electricians
• Electrical installations made, modified or repaired by holders of a permit for installation work on special installations (Art. 14) or for the connection of electrical products (Art. 15).
• Non-railway-specific electrical installations of railroads

Electrosuisse Control AG is on the official test list of the Swiss Federal Inspectorate for Heavy Current Installations ESTI.

Acceptance inspections

For electrical installations, an acceptance inspection is carried out by an independent inspection body within six months after handover of the installation from the installer to the owner. The acceptance inspection includes:

• Inspection of new installations carried out by a licensed electrical installation company.
• Checking the following technical documentation and documents for correct preparation, or completeness:
  • Measurement and test report as well as safety certificate
  • Scheme of main distribution and fuse distribution
  • earthing plan

After the inspection is completed, an inspection report is issued. Countersigning of the safety certificate after confirmation of the elimination of defects or in the case of a defect-free system.

The documents must be kept by the owner at least until the next due periodic inspection. A copy of the safety certificate must be submitted to the grid operator or the Swiss Federal Inspectorate for Heavy Current Installations (ESTI). As an additional service, we offer to send these documents to the appropriate authorities.

Documentation

After the test has been carried out, the following documents are drawn up as required: Measurement and test report with detailed list of measurement results, test report or inspection report, if necessary with detailed list of defects (without bullets), safety certificate according to the Low Voltage Installation Ordinance (NIV).

The documents must be kept by the owner at least until the next due periodic inspection. A copy of the safety certificate must be submitted to the network operator or the inspectorate (ESTI). As an additional service, Electrosuisse Control AG offers to send these documents to the appropriate authorities.

Device tests

A company is responsible for the safety of its own machines, systems and equipment. To ensure that safety is maintained on an ongoing basis, periodic inspections are mandatory. The following devices must be tested:

• Stationary electrical devices with plug connection, which are moved or have support devices, e.g. coffee machine, printer, copier, etc.
• Portable electrical equipment that can be moved within the company, e.g. drills, high-pressure cleaners, cleaning equipment, cable reels, etc.

**Safety concepts

The prevention of personal injury and property damage is the first priority. It is the responsibility of every plant owner to operate the safest possible electrical system and to protect his employees.
With the help of a safety concept, you clearly define the responsibilities in the company and support the careful handling of electrical equipment, promote the professional competence of your employees and protect people from the hazards of electricity.

• Is responsibility and access authorization regulated with regard to occupational and plant safety?
• Is the personnel instructed for the operational actions and work?
• Who is authorized to carry out work and actions in the vicinity of live equipment?

**Maintenance

Increasing pressure on productivity, longer production times and greater complexity of the plants increase the demands on maintenance.
It is important to know one's equipment and the operationally relevant processes of the plant.

**Thermography

A thermal image clearly shows weak points in a switchgear combination.
Overheated components in electrical installations are detected with the help of a thermal imaging camera. We use infrared technology to take measurements of your electrical equipment and analyze the condition of the installation for you.

Lightning Protection LPS

A lightning protection system protects buildings and equipment from direct lightning strikes, fire, and the effects of impressed lightning current (non-igniting lightning).
The location, design or use of building structures can cause a lightning strike to have particularly severe consequences.

Thanks to risk analysis, a comprehensible lightning protection concept is created that is technically and economically adapted to the facility.

**Certifications

We move with the times. And this demands new solutions for the power supply. One step goes in the direction of renewable energies. In order for energy producers to be able to claim the cost-covering feed-in tariffs, they must have their plants certified.

The accredited auditors of Electrosuisse Control AG carry out certifications of your production plants for renewable energies. The naturemade certification is the perfect complement to this.

Electrosuisse Control AG supports you in providing the evidence to Swissgrid. The accreditation is comprehensive, Electrosuisse Control AG is authorized to certify solar, wind, hydro and biomass power plants regarding the certificate of origin (HKN) and cost-covering feed-in tariff (KEV).

For the Association for Environmentally Sound Energy we are accredited to audit renewable and ecological energy production and products according to the quality labels naturemade basic and naturemade star.
