Groupe E is the leading electricity distributor in French-speaking Switzerland. Headquartered in Granges-Paccot (FR), the company serves a population of 460,000 in the cantons of Fribourg, Neuchâtel, Vaud and Berne. It also supplies electricity to 12 distribution partners.

Every year, Groupe E distributes almost three terawatt-hours or three billion kilowatt-hours. Eleven hydroelectric power plants, eight dams, three photovoltaic power plants and three thermal power plants generate 45% of this electricity. The remainder is purchased on the market.

Groupe E is also developing new renewable energies (photovoltaic solar, biomass, wind and mini-hydro) with the aim of generating 10% of the electricity it distributes from these sources by 2035. Our HYDRO offer already enables you to be supplied with 100% renewable energy. Whether you own or rent, your electricity will be 99.5% hydro and 0.5% solar.

Groupe E and 1to1 energy promote the efficient use of energy and offer a range of additional services for private customers, such as : 1to1 energy e-help (optimizing energy consumption for private customers). 1to1 energy courant vert (naturemade star-certified renewable energy) and Energy Forum (the magazine for private customers). For businesses and public authorities consuming more than 100,000 kWh/year, we offer OPTIMO, our tailor-made energy supply product for the open market.

Groupe E offers services and advice to individuals, businesses and public authorities on energy efficiency: from electric mobility solutions (MOVE program) to smart meters (smart-meter, e-vision) and district heating (Energy Contracting).

Groupe E currently employs 1,310 people. Groupe E attaches great importance to training, and is currently training 142 apprentices.
